Ike Marr and Martin Shears have been making music together ever since their first meeting 20 years ago. With a song list of roughly 1000 songs, Ike & Martin showcase expert skills on guitars, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, harmonica and bass pedals played by Martins feet(!). Vocally, their harmony singing is often compared to that of Simon and Garfunkel, but with the energy a five piece rock band. They are consummate professionals in the wedding industry in the Lake Tahoe area, Northern California, and beyond. Their brand of “Live. Acoustic. Kickass.” has won the Lake Tahoe Tribune’s “Best Local Band” award in the Best of Tahoe Contest for the past three years in a row (2013-2015). They have performed all over the United States and Europe and continue to floor audiences with their own style of “modern classic acoustic rock”.
