Schaffer Sound Productions, making musical memories since 1977!
Schaffer Sound Productions is a family owned and operated business. Our founder, Ken Schaffer, started the company in 1977 at the ripe old age of fourteen! He started providing DJ entertainment for grade schools and friends' parties and as he grew older, the events he and his staff performed at became more diverse and demand for his company's services soared. Soon, those same students he was playing for in school gymnasiums and cafeterias were getting married and many hired his company to perform at their weddings! Over the last 10 years or so, Ken gradually handed the reins of the company over to the very capable hands of his brother, Jon Schaffer.
In April of 2009, we were informed that we had won The Knot.com Best of Weddings 2009 Pick Award. We are quite proud that we are a multi-time winner of this prestigious honor.
The company hit quite a milestone with the celebration of our 30th Anniversary in 2007. With three decades serving the Delaware Valley, we are the most trusted name in our field.
The company has received numerous awards in our history and we just recently were informed that we won "Best of the Mainline & Western Suburbs" by the prestigious Main Line Today magazine for 2007. In January of 2007, the company was yet again hand-picked to perform at the Gubernatorial Inauguration for Edward Rendell at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg, Pa. This is the second time we had the privilege of entertaining the Governor and his guests at his inauguration for we also performed at the State Capitol for his 2003 party.
On September 3 , 2006, The television program "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" filmed an episode at our offices for a Spring 2007 airdate. It is a reality based program on the Style Channel in which TV cameras follow an engaged couple during the wedding planning process and through their entire wedding day.
On October 30, 2005, we were honored to have Lynn Doyle of CN8 interview our owner, Jon Schaffer, for an on-air T.V. special regarding wedding reception entertainment.
On November 4th of 2004, the company was proud to announce the grand opening of its brand new, state-of the-art building in Media, PA, with over 5,000 square feet to better serve our loyal customer base.
The growth of our business can be attributed to the unparalleled attention given to detail, the understanding that our reputation is built one client at a time and the realization that customer satisfaction is always our utmost concern.
