Neal and Carla Freed opened their Bethesda studio in 1996, and Freed Photography has since grown to become Washington’s premier award-winning studio.
We are fortunate enough to have a team of 8 amazing photographers, hailing from a range of disciplines including photojournalism, fine art and commericial photogaphy. Each photographer shares the passion of Neal & Carla Freed, which is to isolate the truly memorable moment, to pull out of the ordinary, what Henri Cartier Bresson, called “the decisive moment.” To artistically capture in a photograph, the image that tells a story so that when you look at that image years from now, you’ll recall every thought and feeling as though you were in the middle of that moment, now.
