Live the Fairytale
People often ask my why, out of all the paths a photographer could take, why weddings?
I have 100 reasons such as being named Best of the Best by Oklahoma Magazine and seeing our photos in award-winning Storybook Albums. Those are amazing, but my top 3 reasons truly are...
#1 Cinderella: from the moment I saw that movie at age six, I was hooked! The castle, the prince, the wedding dress (or "ball gown", if you will) .... tends to melt away all the problems of life. For a few hours I can photograph a real life fairytale! It doesn't matter if its in the crystal ballroom at the Mayo Hotel, in a barn or in a church, to me its all about Day 1 of the couple's own Happily Ever After.
#2 Guests: imagine another time in your life when all of your family and closest friends were in the same place, at the same time. How often? Possibly never before! Having the privilege of photographing a couples loved ones is something that is so very precious to me. Your wedding day is a part of your history; your legacy. The photos from that incredible day become an heirloom that will be passed down for hundreds of years. Being a part of creating something so treasured for my clients is an honor.
#3 Stories: every wedding is a story with a beginning (preparations + getting dressed), a middle (the ceremony + formal portraits) and an end (the celebration + exit). Chapters, if you will. Discovering and photographing each couple's unique chapters of their wedding story, is so amazing to me. I love to create images, capturing each couple's style, their "thing" that makes them.. them.
My love of wedding photography has grown from a dream to a company, one that has spent the past 14 years photographing weddings in Tulsa, OKC, Dallas and beyond. My husband along with 4 other talented wedding photographers share this vision with me and together we have photographed over 1,000 weddings. My hope is that you too will give us the privilege of photographing your wedding day.
