My name is Tobin. I'm a wedding photographer serving California and Reno. Oh, and I love to travel the world to photograph weddings as well!
I've dedicated my life to artfully documenting those moments that bring joy to us as humans: moments when we are present to the feelings of love, togetherness, and family. I do this in order to use my gifts as a contribution to others.
My photographs are my thanks for each breath I am granted. They are my grateful reciprocation for the beautiful life I live. So I live to preserve and articulate the beauty and delight felt in these lovely moments. For me there is no higher calling...so that's what I've made it my business to do.
I believe the key to creating magic with people is in relating with people authentically. I relish in being with people; in drawing out the authentic emotion that already exists in us, but that sometimes just needs a little kick in the pants to have it come out and play for the camera.
Pretty much the only thing I love more than laughing is making other people laugh. One of my most cherished gifts is my sense of humor and I wield it liberally while I create photographs; bringing wit and levity to every wedding and every shoot so that when people are in front of my lens, they are having fun, at ease, and fully self-expressed.
My style is primarily photojournalistic with an emphasis on imaginative techniques to most beautifully and creatively capture the story of your wedding day.
I am acutely aware of the priceless, candid moments that contribute so much to the spirit of each individual wedding. I employ a modern, editorial approach to the scripted moments I photograph, keeping the distinctly personal, yet striking and contemporary, like a spread in GQ Magazine (except with real people instead of supermodels ;-).
