Hey! This is John Paul with Wandering Star Weddings and my wife, Emily, and I specialize in documentary wedding photography.
What to expect:
I'm pretty laid back, and after having photographed weddings for seven years, I like to help out with whatever needs to be done while capturing fun moments along the way. I like to meet with couples early in the planning process to help talk about timeline and lighting. Those are two big parts of the day, and making sure you have enough time for pictures so that it's stress-free and fun is super important! I like to take fly-on-the-wall approach, so you hardly know I'm there, but close enough that if you want an impromptu portrait with grandma or friends, I'm there to help.
About our team:
I have been professionally documenting weddings since 2009, and has worked with couples from Colorado to Kansas, Louisville to Birmingham. I'm the lead photographer, and Emily is assistant photographer as needed. We also have a team of documentary photographers to second shoot when needed and requested.
We believe the best moments are the unplanned. We believe in staying in the moment, being present with partner, and fully enjoying life. Our goal is to work with you to document that story, come up with ideas and photos that will be truly you.
