A career travel agent with over 35 years experience. My first experience in travel was a 3 week trip to Asia which encompassed Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and the Phillipines. The experience was eye-opening and I still have many memories of the culture, customs, architecture and flavors of Asia. To be walking to a temple and have a lovely older lady run up and use her umbrella for me when it began to rain left an indelible impression of the kindness of the Japanese people. To look out my balcony in Manila at the island of Corregidor, an important island in World War II, was amazing. The sights and sounds of Seoul, Korea were so interesting and I am so thankful to have experienced it. Hong Kong provided another chance to see the many high rise buildings, taste wonderful foods and shop!
After visiting the Queen Mary and walking on the tea decks, I got the bug to take a cruise, so I planned one for the Mexican Riviera as my first experience. Meeting a group of people at the dining table who could share their port experienced each day was so fun. My husband and I met people we traveled with two more times on cruises and we still keep in contact to this day.
I have continued to educate myself in the travel field with trainings, webinars and opportunities to experience destinations, resorts and cruises so my experience is something to share with prospective clients. My background in Early Childhood Education enables me to search for family friendly resorts, options of cruise lines and destinations. If the children are happy, the parents will be happy, so more and more hotels and resorts are offering extensive programs for children of all ages.
As a director of the Orange County NACTA (National Association of Career Travel Agents), I scheduled tour operators, cruise lines, insurance companies for our semi-monthly metings to educate our members about their products and services. As a board member of California’s Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (state required for consumer protection), I was able to assist travelers who lost money while doing business with travel agencies registered with the state to sell travel to residents.
My passion is assisting travelers obtain their desired memories within their budgets and time frame they have to travel. Whether couples, families or destination wedding travel, I can offer my expertise in obtaining their goal of a wonderful travel experience.
