Ask about the set list, performance breaks, sound equipment, and whether the band can learn your first-dance song.
Listen to live recordings as well as polished demos. A small acoustic group can suit dinner conversation, while a larger band may offer a wider repertoire for dancing. Ask who will perform on your date and whether the lineup matches the examples you heard.
Share the venue layout, guest numbers and evening schedule. Compare playing time rather than booking duration, and agree on music during breaks. Sound limits, staging, meals and access for unloading can affect the quote.
Some bands offer a special arrangement; others work from an established repertoire. Ask early, confirm any rehearsal charge and request a recorded alternative as a backup.
Ask for an itemized list of speakers, microphones, lighting and a sound technician. Check whether a separate setup is needed for your ceremony or drinks reception.
Agree whether the band supplies recorded music or whether you need a DJ. Put the number and length of sets, breaks and finish time in writing.
Prices are starting estimates. Confirm packages and availability with each vendor.
