Make the conversation specific to your wedding

Bring your date, location and an outline of the service you are considering. Ask the vendor to explain how their approach would work for your plans, using examples of comparable events. Write down what is included and anything you need to confirm later.

Picture the whole day in the space

Visit with your guest count and preferred layout in mind. Check the ceremony setting, dining room, dance floor and quieter spaces rather than relying only on photographs. Ask to see the indoor alternative if any part of your celebration is outdoors.

Look beyond the hire fee

Compare access hours, furniture, catering arrangements, staffing and cleanup. Check accessibility with the venue directly, including entrances and toilets. Sound limits, finishing times and restrictions on decorations can influence the rest of your plans.

Your interview checklist

The first questions focus on this service; the remaining questions cover booking arrangements. Confirm final answers in writing.
