LESS GUESSWORK. MORE OF YOUR DAY.

Questions to ask wedding vendors

A useful vendor conversation goes beyond “Are you available?” Find out what is included, who will be there, and how the booking will work.

Prepare a brief before you request a quote

Share your date, venue or location, approximate guest count, the service you need and any fixed timings. Tell suppliers which details are still undecided. Comparable briefs make it easier to understand why two quotes differ.

Choose a service below for specialist questions, or start with the general worksheet. Record what was discussed and ask for important promises to appear in the written quote or agreement. A friendly conversation is a starting point; use the actual terms to make your decision.

Questions for every wedding vendor

Saved automatically in this browser on this device. No account or cloud backup. Other people using this browser may see your entries; clearing browser data removes them.

One worksheet is saved per category. Print your completed notes before using it for another vendor.

Compare the answers, not just the final price

Check that each offer covers the same hours, staffing, quantities and travel. Note who communicates clearly, whether you have seen relevant work, and which unanswered questions could affect your day. If one quote is much lower, ask what is excluded before assuming it is the better fit.

Your questions, answered

Should we ask every question in a first meeting?

Use the list as a guide, not a script. Cover availability, fit, scope and price first, then follow up on the details relevant to your wedding before booking.

Can I use this to compare several vendors?

Print or save a PDF for each vendor. The browser keeps one editable worksheet per category, so preserve your existing answers before changing it for the next meeting.

Does this replace reading our booking agreement?

No. These questions help you collect information. Read the actual agreement, ask about unclear terms and seek appropriate local advice when needed.
