Make the conversation specific to your wedding

Bring your date, location and an outline of the service you are considering. Ask the vendor to explain how their approach would work for your plans, using examples of comparable events. Write down what is included and anything you need to confirm later.

Choose support for the work you actually need

Full planning, partial planning and coordination can mean different things to different businesses. List the decisions already made and the tasks still open. Ask each planner to explain where their responsibility begins and ends.

Agree on communication and decision-making

Confirm meetings, budget tracking, supplier sourcing and who works on the wedding day. Ask how recommendations are selected and whether referral arrangements exist. Keep approvals and payment responsibilities clear so everyone understands who can commit to a purchase.
